Flu season is quickly approaching, and the best way to protect yourself and others against the illness is to get vaccinated.
Most commonly known as the flu, Influenza is an acute viral infection that spreads easily from person to person which can cause annual epidemics during the autumn and winter months.
It is unknown when exactly flu season begins, but activity starts to increase in October, with peak activity typically between November and February. Symptoms of the flu include high fever, a cough, stuffy nose, fatigue and nausea.
Do not wait for the flu to wreak havoc on your ability to work and play. There are ways to try and avoid the flu virus such as washing your hands regularly, getting your fill of Vitamin-C rich food and using disinfectant wipes to keep all surfaces you come into contact with clean.
However, the most effective way to protect against the Influenza virus is to get vaccinated and Tropical Medical Bureau offer these important vaccinations at all of their clinics nationwide.
