TTR welcomed a new team member…
This month we were delighted to welcome the newest member of the TTR team, Leila McCabe. Leila joins us as ‘Trade Account Manager’ and is well versed in the travel industry having previously held managerial roles in both Panorama/Thomas Cook and TUI Ireland. Leila joined TTR at a very busy time and got stuck in straight away to her first TTR event as she represented Bradley International Airport on the Aer Lingus USA Road Show in Belfast, Dublin and Cork.

TTR’s newest member Leila McCabe represented Bradley International Airport on the Aer Lingus Taste of America Roadshow 2020. From the 11-13th February, the roadshow visited Belfast, Dublin and finished up in Cork. Overall, the roadshow was a great success and generated tons of interest in Bradley International Airport.

It was all systems go for TTR’s Leila McCabe in her first month, as she represented Bradley International Airport at the Visit USA Committee AGM on the 13th February. It was a great day and Leila was delighted to catch up with old friends and make new ones.
Meet the Media Event
On the 17th February TravelMedia.ie welcomed 80 Irish travel media to the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dublin alongside 35 international CVBs, airlines, DMCs and hoteliers at our annual ‘Meet the Media’ event. Appointments were pre-arranged online allowing for a seamless day of successful speed-networking, preceded by a very informative ‘USA Media Visa Briefing’ with the U.S Embassy in Ireland. Followed by nibbles and drinks, the day was a huge success and we’re already looking forward to next year!
TTR hosted ‘Feel the Beat’ Jamaica update
The fun didn’t stop there! The following night, February 18th, TTR hosted ‘Feel the Beat’, a Jamaica update for the trade in Ireland, on behalf of the Jamaica Tourist Board. The night was filled with great information, fun competitions and of course, delicious food – Thank you to all who attended.
Nomadic Network Dublin Launch
Ali Finnegan and Leslie Graham attended the launch of the Dublin Chapter of the Nomadic Network on the 24th February. Nomadic Network is the newest initiative global community of travel enthusiasts who support, connect, educate, & inspire one another to travel better, cheaper, & longer – established by the popular travel blogger Nomadic Matt. It was a nice evening of casual networking and was a great way to meet fellow travellers in the Dublin area.
Michael spoke at Travel Technology Europe, London
Travel Technology Europe took place in London from the 26-27th February and saw our very own Michael Collins included as one of the many great experts lined up to inspire event attendees. Michael was delighted to speak about all things travel, SEO/PPC and social media to fellow attendees at the Travel Advice Clinic on the 27th Feb.

To finish off an eventful February, TTR’s Michael Collins represented Bradley International Airport at The Business Travel Show, London, from the 26-27th February. It was a brilliant event with great discussions on the latest business travel trends including the key theme of traveller wellbeing and ‘conscious travel’.
Now that February is done and dusted, we’re buckling up for another jam-packed month as we head into March – stay tuned!
