Travel Media Awards Winners 2025

We’re delighted to announce the winners of the returning Travel Media Awards, recognising excellence within the Irish travel media community. The awards took place after Meet the Media 2025, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dublin.

This year’s Travel Media Awards celebrated outstanding contributions across seven exciting categories.

Visit Portugal proudly sponsored the awards, that included the category for Best Portuguese Travel Story. Portugal is one of the most popular destinations for Irish tourists and this summer will see 128 flights operate weekly between Ireland and Portugal, an increase of 13 from Summer 2024.

The Winners

• Travel Writer of the Year – Domhnall O’Donoghue
• Broadcaster of the Year – Ed Finn
• Photographer/Videographer of the Year – Joshua Nueva
• Content Creator of the Year – Clóda Scanlon
• A Pleasure to Work With – Laura Fitzachary
• Rising Star – Hayley Syms

Speaking at the awards, Carlos Oliveira, Director of Visit Portugal Ireland said: “Visit Portugal are very happy to be sponsoring the return of the Travel Media Awards. Stories like Isabel’s ensure that Portugal remains front of mind for the Irish public. We look forward to welcoming more of Ireland’s top travel media to Portugal in 2025.”
