Swiss Winter Launch in Dublin
September kicked off with a fabulous evening hosted by TravelMedia and Switzerland Tourism at the new Ruby Molly Hotel in Dublin. We welcomed media to celebrate the upcoming Swiss winter season. Highlights of the night included a deep dive into the latest Swiss travel offerings with presentations from Andreas Nef (Travel Switzerland), Celina Finger (Interlaken Tourism), and Emilie Morard (Valais/Wallis Promotion), along with Fran Lambert stepping in for Lucerne/Lake Lucerne Region. Guests were treated to delicious Swiss wines like Pinot Noir and Chasselas, as well as some tasty Swiss delicacies.
With stunning new attractions like the Schilthornbahn cable car launching this December and the ever-popular Christmas markets in places like Lucerne and Zurich, there was much excitement about what Switzerland has to offer this winter. The event left everyone inspired to pack their bags and hit the Swiss slopes!
Crystal Ski Launch
Later in the month came the launch of Crystal Ski’s 2024/25 and 2025/26 programs at the Hyatt Centric Hotel. In true après-ski style, the event featured a snow machine, Aperol Spritz, a green screen photo op, and some upbeat DJ tunes to keep spirits high. Charlotte Brenner, Suzanne Mulligan, and Craig Morgan from the Irish team at TUI led the presentation, with exciting updates such as Italy’s renewed popularity as a ski destination and Slovenia being added as a new offering.
The Crystal Snow Promise was also a major talking point, guaranteeing holidaymakers snow when they book before the 30th of November, or the option to switch destinations for free if there’s a lack of it. As always, Crystal Ski is dedicated to making the winter experience stress-free and magical for travellers.
James Kavanagh at Newbridge Silverware
We were delighted to arrange a day for Irish TV personalities James Kavanagh and William Murray at Newbridge Silverware. They received a VIP tour of the factory, explored the Museum of Style Icons, and even got up close to Princess Diana’s famed “revenge dress.” James shared his experience on social media, giving Newbridge Silverware plenty of buzz and an exciting feature on the 9th episode (“A Hen & A Rotavator”) of their podcast their podcast “The Simpler Life.”
TTR Autumn Roadshow
Finally, September closed with our TTR Autumn Roadshow, which took place across Dublin, Limerick, and Cork. TravelMedia welcomed over 70 travel agents to these events, where they had the opportunity to network with key players in the travel industry. With partners from Tourism Seychelles, Air Transat, Egypt Air, and more, it was an invaluable event for agents to catch up on the latest offerings ahead of the next travel season. Speed networking, hearty meals, and face-to-face meetings left everyone well-prepared and excited for the future.
