December was a whirlwind of activity for the TravelMedia.ie team. From press trips to festive gatherings, the month was packed with events and milestones. Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to:
Bradley International Airport – Press Trip
From November 30th to December 3rd Colm from TravelMedia.ie had the pleasure of hosting four journalists from the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland on a press trip to Connecticut in partnership with Bradley International Airport, the Connecticut Office of Tourism, and Aer Lingus.
The group were flown over by Aer Lingus in their business class section and then shown some of the great attractions that the State of Connecticut has to offer including, Mark Twain House, the Mystic Seaport Museum, Foxwoods Casino and Resort, Yale University, and much more.
Run Barbados – Press Trip
The 41st annual Run Barbados marathon weekend took place over December 6th to 8th with an Irish contingent of Clóda Scanlon, content creator, and Mark McCadden, Irish Daily Star, participating across the weekend’s events that included everything from the fun mile to the full marathon. The group also got to stay at the luxury 5-star all-inclusive Wyndham Grand Sam Lord’s Castle Hotel.
Newbridge Influencer Visit
We were thrilled to welcome influencer Jess Murray and her mum to Newbridge for a memorable visit. Jess enjoyed a factory tour, explored the Museum of Style Icons (MOSI), and captured her experiences across her social media channels. Christmas Party at The Shelbourne
The TravelMedia.ie team celebrated the holiday season with a festive lunch at The Saddle Room in The Shelbourne. The day was filled with delicious food, holiday cheer, and a lively Secret Santa gift exchange, wrapping up 2024 in style.
AWTE Christmas Lunch
Susan attended the annual AWTE Christmas Lunch on December 13th, held at Urban Brewing on Dublin’s Custom House Quay. The event was a festive gathering of women in travel, complete with delicious food, sparkling decorations, and generous prizes. 
TravelMedia.ie Christmas Media Drinks
On December 18th, we hosted our annual Christmas Media Drinks at Nolita, bringing together new and old friends to celebrate the year gone by. It was an evening filled with great food, festive drinks, and plenty of fun. Over 40 members of the media joined us as we shared stories and reflected on the year, thanking them for their incredible support throughout 2024. Here’s to even more adventures in 2025!

We marked our first month with our new client, CIEE, and couldn’t be more excited about the journey ahead!
