January was a busy month for the TravelMedia.ie team as we hit the ground running in 2025 with a series of events across Ireland and the UK.
Holiday World Dublin
The team attended the annual Holiday World Exhibition in Dublin, representing clients Valencia and Bradley International Airport. Cedric Lynch also joined us to represent Barbados, engaging with attendees and sharing insights about the destination. The event was a fantastic opportunity to connect with industry professionals and travellers alike, showcasing some of the best holiday options for the year ahead. Susan even had a lucky streak, winning a holiday to Tunisia at the event!
Greek National Tourist Office Event
Following Holiday World, we attended an evening with the Greece National Tourist Office at the NYX Hotel. Despite Storm Eowyn’s efforts to dampen the festivities, the event went ahead in great spirits. The Greece team and members of the media gathered for a wonderful night of networking, discussions, and celebrations of Greece’s tourism offerings.
BTMI Hotel Reps
January also saw Michael, Susan, and Colm travel to London for the quarterly BTMI Hotel Reps meeting. The meeting offers an opportunity to BTMI, it’s agencies and reps for hotels across the island to catch up, discuss trends in the travel industry and offer important updates to each other on ongoing and upcoming activity. It was followed by the now-legendary annual BTMI New Year’s party, hosted in their headquarters on Tottenham Court Road. Guests were treated to the best that Bajan cuisine has to offer, washed down with a glass or two of rum punch.
Le Voyage à Nantes Media Day in London
Sophie and Anna hosted a media day in London for Le Voyage à Nantes, bringing together top-tier travel journalists and editors to showcase Nantes as a must-visit European destination. The event featured a lunch at Le Pont De La Tour and a dinner at Henri, with engaging presentations on Nantes’ cultural and culinary scene. Representatives from The Sun, The Guardian, The Telegraph, Wanderlust, and BBC Good Food attended, leading to productive discussions on future press trips and coverage opportunities.
January set the tone for an exciting year ahead, with plenty more travel, media events, and collaborations on the horizon. Stay tuned for what’s next!
