What Did We Do This Month? – November 2024

November was another action-packed month for the TravelMedia.ie team with events, milestones, and a new client to celebrate. Here’s a look at what we got up to:

Barbados Minister’s Reception in London
The month began with the travelmedia.ie team attending the Barbados Minister’s Reception in London. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with Barbados tourism, strengthening relationships and learning about exciting future initiatives for the destination.

World Travel Market (WTM) in London
Sophie and Colm represented TravelMedia.ie at World Travel Market in London, one of the biggest events in the global travel industry. They connected with travel brands, partners, and media, exploring new opportunities and trends shaping the travel landscape.

BGTW Awards in London
Colm, Sophie, Michael, Raf, and Leslie also attended the prestigious British Guild of Travel Writers (BGTW) Awards, where they worked on social media for the evening. The team showcased highlights from the event, keeping followers updated on the celebrations and spotlighting the achievements of travel professionals.

D8 Live at St. Patrick’s Cathedral
The team joined Gerry Mullins for D8 Live at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin. This unique event featured discussions, performances, and a celebration of the vibrant culture and community in Dublin 8.

Worldchoice Conference in Dundalk
Susan represented Bradley International Airport at the Worldchoice Conference in Dundalk, engaging with travel professionals throughout the event. Michael also spoke at the conference, sharing insights on emerging social media trends.

International Charity Bazaar at the RDS
Michael attended the International Charity Bazaar at the RDS in Dublin, an event that brought together international communities to raise funds for charitable causes while showcasing global cultures and traditions.

IBTM World in Barcelona
Michael and Leslie traveled to Barcelona for IBTM World, one of the leading global events for the meetings and events industry. It was a busy and productive trip, filled with networking opportunities, industry updates, and valuable connections for the future.

Celebrating Darragh’s Birthday
The team took a break from the busy month to celebrate Darragh’s birthday with a special lunch at House on Leeson Street. It was a lovely afternoon spent together, marking another great year for Darragh.

ITTN Awards

Michael, Susan, and Sophie attended the ITTN Awards, one of Ireland’s most important events for the travel trade. It was a night of celebration, recognizing excellence across the industry. (TTR) Travel Trade Representation, was also delighted to be shortlisted for an award on the night. A huge congratulations to our clients Portugal and Crystal Ski on their well-deserved wins! We were also proud to see Bradley International Airport, sponsoring the photo booth, which added a fun and memorable touch to the evening.

New Client: CIEE

We’re delighted to welcome CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange) as a new client! CIEE provides exciting opportunities for students to live, work, and travel in the United States through J1 visa programs. Learn more about their work and travel options here: CIEE Ireland.
