October was a busy one for the TravelMedia.ie/TTR team with events, trips, hellos and sad goodbyes happening throughout the month. Let’s see what we got up to.
Jenn Departs
October saw us have to say a sad goodbye to our Senior Account Executive Jenn O’Neill, as she moves to London to start a new chapter. From the whole team here at TravelMedia.ie/TTR, we want to wish Jenn the very best of luck going forward and we hope to see her again somewhere down the road.
Rachel Joins
As one team member departs, another one joins. We are delighted to welcome Rachel Lysaght to the company as she takes up the role of Account Executive alongside Colm. We are thrilled to have someone with Rachel’s experience onboard and we can’t wat to see what she does with the company!
Michael and Susan represent BDL at Red Cow
To kick off the month, Michael Collins and Susan Craddock headed out to the Red Cow in southwest Dublin for an evening of networking with key travel partners on behalf of Bradley International Airport.
Michael attends BTMI Hotel Reps Meeting
On October 5th, Michael paid a flying visit to London to attend the quarterly hotel reps meeting for Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc., highlighting the work that TravelMedia.ie/TTR have done over the last number of months in Barbados.
Michael attends Caribtours Training in the Ivy
On the evening of October 11th, Michael attended a Caribtours training evening in the luxurious Ivy restaurant on Dawson St. in Dublin. Michael attended the educational and informative evening on behalf of Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc.
Michael and Leslie attend UNWTO General Assembly in Uzbekistan
From October 16th to 20th, Michael and Leslie Graham, Unravel Travel TV, flew to Samarkand, Uzbekistan for the 25th session of the UNWTO General Assembly. Across the 4 days of the events there were a wealth of informative talks, keynote addresses, and valuable networking and conversations within the travel industry. You can see some key interview from the assembly below.
Michael hosts arts media in Nantes on Press Trip
From Monday 23rd to Thursday 26th, Michael hosted a number of UK arts media for a special press trip to Nantes. Across the 4 days, Michael and the team at Le Voyage a Nantes showed the media around the beautiful city located in West France’s Loire Valley, with a particular focus on arts, culture and architecture.
Susan attends Food and Rum 2023
On her maiden voyage to Barbados, Susan Craddock, Travel Trade Representation, took a group of UK and Irish media to the world-famous Food and Rum festival. The group were treated to a hectic schedule of events showcasing what Barbados has to offer. By the end of the trip the group were very familiar with why Barbados is known as both the home of rum and the ‘Culinary Capital of the Caribbean’.
Colm and Raluca celebrate their anniversaries
On October 27th, the TravelMedia.ie/TTR team were treated to a special dinner to mark a number of things including Jenn’s departure, Rachel’s arrival, but also Colm and Raluca celebrating their one- and two-year anniversaries respectively. The team went to the renowned One Pico on Dublin’s Molesworth Pl. for an amazing dining experience.
